Quality Assurance Engineer (based in Düsseldorf)

Your responsibilities:

  • Design and develop comprehensive test plans and test cases specifically tailored to validate the functionality and performance of manufacturing software applications.
  • Execute manual and automated testing procedures to systematically assess software components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering team to understand technical specifications, identify potential areas of improvement, and provide feedback for enhancing software reliability and usability.
  • Conduct rigorous regression testing to validate software updates and enhancements, minimizing the risk of introducing defects or regressions into production environments.
  • Investigate and analyse reported issues, utilizing debugging tools and techniques to isolate root causes and effectively communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Work collaboratively with customer success teams to address client inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of software-related concerns, fostering positive customer experiences.
  • Engage in cross-functional discussions and reviews to offer insights on software quality, identify potential risks, and contribute to decisions about software releases and updates.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software quality assurance, continuously enhancing personal knowledge and skills to drive improvements in software testing methodologies and processes.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing (e.g., NUnit, xUnit.net, Selenium etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive test plans and execute test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technology stack, including .NET framework, C#, and ASP.NET, for understanding software architecture and behaviour.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps for managing test cases, tracking defects, and supporting continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Knowledge of SQL for database testing and querying, and experience in using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify, isolate, and communicate software defects effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a collaborative approach to working with software engineering team, customers success team, and other stakeholders.
